Artifice Support, could you please indicate the "rules" for multiple texture folders, or multiple mat. prefs? I have edited a Mat Def Prefs file and eliminated many "old" textures that I no longer use or that are going to be replaced with new/different ones.

Does the .dw file need to reside in the texture folder? Does the mat pref and scanned textures need to be in the same folder? How do you get the .dw file to "point" to the re-written prefs file and scanned images? The materials pulldown in the title bar is always so confusing to me.... I know I can purge but dont want to do that becasue I haven't finished the model. My textures folder is a little messy now ;-) Need to know exactly what needs to reside where.

Also, I know you need jpgs for Rad OL but will DW and Lightworks read jpgs or still just picts? It would be great if they would read jpgs so you didn't have to have two different file formats "live".

Hope this makes sense, especially about the multiple mat prefs files.

Thanks, in advance,
Gary
