Thanks for the GREAT summary! I will have to try tonight but I see where you are going with this. One "active", and one only, texture folder is the key to my problem. I had multiple texture folders all named differently and thought somehow the material definitions would somehow be tied to it if the model file was housed in that folder.

It is great that the RadOL materials do not have to be jpegs. Somehow I thought they needed to be. Another question, do the picts HAVE to be 512 in one direction for RadOL custom textures? Is there a downside or problem if not?

I assume that once you rename a texture folder to make it active you need to quit and reboot the application for that folder and defs to take effect?

Thanks again for the clarification. Looks like I have somehousecleaning to do! ;-)
