Hello Mikhail,
Thank you for contacting Artifice.
There are a number of ways to make a semi-spherical object in DesignWorkshop.
First you can open the Forms-Multifaceted-Spheroids library file. Copy the sphere you want, paste it into your model and then use the Trim Tool to cut it in half.
Another method would be to use the arc tool to draw a quarter circle. Extrude the arc, then use the Edit menu, Duplicate Mitered command. Set number of objects to 16 and degrees of rotation to 22.5 (or any other setting you like to get 360 degrees of total rotation). Then click at the center of rotation for the semi-sphere you are creating.
Both of the above methods will result in a solid semi-sphere. There are a couple of ways to make a hollow dome.
Draw an arc in elevation and extrude. Now use the Edit menu Wallify command to hollow the arc. Delete the two pieces that go from the center to the edge of the arc. Then use the Edit menu, Duplicate Mitered command as before. The result will be a hollow dome.
There is a more elegant approach which will result in a hollow dome made of one single object. You will need to draw a polyline with an inside curve and an outside curve. You can do this by drawing two arcs, each representing one of these curves. Now turn on Snap-To-Handles and use the Polyline tool to trace the curves of the two arcs. Now save this polyline in a file all by itself and run it through the Lathe Machine. This will rotate your polyline and create a hollow dome that is one single object.
Please let us know whenever you have further questions.

Mike Wheeler
