Attention Macintosh DesignWorkshop Users:

The current versions of DesignWorkshop Lite, Classic, and Professional for Power Macintosh are not compatible with Mac OS 9. Artifice will be releasing a free maintenance update within a few days to provide full DesignWorkshop compatibility with Mac OS 9.

The localized technical incompatibility is a result of changes Apple has made to upgrade the Macintosh file system. Because of this problem, DesignWorkshop 1.8.3 will not start up successfully on Mac OS 9, and DesignWorkshop standard model files will not open successfully.

Viewing of existing 3DMF model files is unaffected by this situation, except that the first 3DMF file must be opened by drag-and-drop of the model file icon onto the DesignWorkshop application icon in the Macintosh Finder. Otherwise DesignWorkshop will not open successfully. Subsequent model files can be opened either using the File menu Open... command, or by drag-and-drop in the Finder.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us directly at "support@artifice.com".
