Message - Windows getting closer?

In a few recent messages Windows frustrations have been mentioned, and I just wanted to get an update on a few issues I've brought up with your technical staff in the past. I work within Windows 95 with DW Pro.

First, DW Pro version does have the Windows optional image extensions shown in the drop down window for backgrounds, however, the only images that work properly are the *.pict files. The *.jpg's, *.tif's, etc. only partially import. The image comes in properly centered, yet the bottom is usually cut off. We have to convert all our *.jpg's blue print photo's to *.pict before we can use them. That is a pain, especially when you are trying to adjust elevations and floor plans into proper postioning for tracing. Have you addressed fixing that yet? I've down loaded the latest and are still having the problem. When do you expect to fix it? Or do you?

Second, the Hidden line rendering in "lights and textures" still appears to have no direction on resolving Windows related issues. All though Hidden Line rendering works fine on a MAC, Windows still has a couple of issues. If you try to Hidden Line Render with the "show intersections" selected, you will create an error that will shut you down. It only happens with models that were created with a Windows system. Models that were created by a MAC system render fine (i.e. the sample models). Any word on when or if this problem is going to be fixed? We also are seeing a large amount of lines showing up on Hidden Line renderings that shouldn't be showing. Spindles showing through railings, or post showing through stone bases. Is that common? Doesn't happen all the time, and when it does, we've checked to make sure that it is properly modeled.

Let me (us) know. Thank you in advance for your prompt response to these issues. We appreciate your desire to provide a program that functions properly in both MAC and Windows.

JM
