The School of Architecture (SOA) at Florida International University is seeking candidates for a Computer Director position at the Assistant Professor level. The position is a twelve-month tenure-track position. The successful candidate will teach computer-aided design/digital media courses, and manage the NT based computer labs and networked studios at the School of Architecture. The candidate should be experienced in managing computer graphic laboratories, knowledgeable in 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, 3D VIZ, MAX, FormZ, Lightscape, Maya, VR), understand Internet technologies, and show potential for research in the field of computers in design. The Computer Director position is regarded as a very important step in establishing SOA as one of the leading institutions using digital technologies in design in Florida and the Southeast.
