Ken,
I wrote WildTools for PowerCADD and I also created most of the Engineered Software website. We went to great lengths to make it very, very clear when some feature (such as WildTools, the DWG translator, or some other external) was an extra-cost add-on. PowerCADD comes with a DXF translator, so maybe there was a misunderstanding. We all have our differences over issues, but no one is going to intentionally tell you that you are going to get something that you clearly are not.
Flame me if you will for tooting my own horn, but have you been through the WildTools section of the EngSW website. Particularly the section of WildTools 3D? As I say from the beginning, it is not true 3D, but in many ways it's infinitely more useful than true 3D. In reality, the tools let you draw in isometric or axonometric and you can forget about the mechanics of such drawings. You'll find that you can do a ton of things that you can't do with a full 3D rendering package -- some of which are great programs, but I want to draw, not render and fight with software.
So I'd urge you to give it another look.
Thanks,
Alfred Scott
