I am a product designer and I use AutoCad and 3D Studio Max a lot for my job. But ocassionally I use them for my hobby: structure and pattern research. I find them really powerful to explore new shapes and patterns, apart from designing consumer goods.

I want to here from anyone who is using these softwares for the same purpose!
