I HAVE USED CHIEF 97 FOR A WHILE NOW AND THE OFFICE IS IN THE MIDDLE OF CONVERTING TO CHIEF 6.0. CHIEF 6.0 HAS SOME MORE USEFUL FEATURES LIKE DRAWING CORNER WINDOWS PROPERLY AND TAKING ANGULAR DIMENSIONS OFF ANGLED WALLS, TO NAME A FEW.
YOU ARE RIGHT ABOUT IT BEING USEFUL IN CONVENTIONAL DESIGNS, BUT NOTHING CREATIVE. AS A DESIGN PACKAGE IT IS GREAT BECAUSE IT IS JUST A MATTER OF DROPPING IN DOORS, WINDOWS, FURNITURE, FROM THE LIBRARIES.
WE SIT THE CLIENT INFRONT OF THE COMPUTER AND WE CAN SHOW VARIOUS PERSPECTIVES OF THE HOME, INTERIORS AND EXTERIORS.
THIS PROGRAM IS DEFINATELY LACKING IN THE DRAFTING DEPARTMENT AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT FOR WORKING DRAWINGS.
