Lets get some dialogue going about integrated 2D/3D software.
Although the bulk of what I would call "Architectural" cad and 3d software stands on their own, independently, (with the exception of a few), is their need or desire for this kind of "package"? The ones that I have tried do either 2D or 3D well but not both. Is it time for someone to write an intuitive "package" that does both well?
Perhaps people are comfortable with stanalone packages...importing / exporting etc., which is certainly ok...but is it what you want, really?
Lastly, if Artifice came to you and said, "We will write ANYTHING into DesignWorksop that you want, if you could simply justify it.", what would it be? BRAINSTORM here people, let the juices flow and lets see what we could come up with! Or, if you have seen something in another package that you liked and would like to see incorporated state it! I know some of us have stated our "wish list" in prior posts but at the sake of being redundant, let's state it again, and hopefully more.....Perhaps a package that updates 3D as the 2D element is updated? (or vice-versa)....
I have said it before, the more vocal we are about our needs and the more we discuss how we use the software, the more sucessful the application will become....because I for one know that Artifice, collectively, is listening!
Post away, and I encourage those who usually just "read" to become active and let their feelings be known! We don't bite!
