Yo Yo Yo!
Good news for everybody!!
Artifice probably knows about this already but DW is on the latest issue of CGW (June 1998 issue_Computer Graphics World magazine). The cover title is "An Architectural Awakening" written by B. J. Novitski. It's a special report on the growing trend of integrating 3d modeling in architectural offices for design and presentation. You'll appreciate it more if you can get hold of a copy. Anyway, aside from stalwarts as Archicad, form-z, etc., DW has been mentioned as one of 3d modeling packages that support schematic design. To quote Mr. Novitski:
"Other systems support schematic design by enabling a clay-like modeling process on screen without the designer having to worry about specifics or precision. For example, DesignWorkshop from Artifice allows users to create 3d forms while viewing the composite in perspective. A 3d cursor orients you within the three-dimensional space. Forms are placed and modified with simple mouse clicks just as they are in popular 2d drawing programs".
DW is gettin' there!!
