Ken,

PowerCADD has a lot of illustration capabilites, I think you will find... I have exported DW to PowerCADD for layout.
I did get polygons, but editting was definitely strange. Not clear on the format of fills etc. of objects that are brought into PowerCAD this way.

What Is good in PowerCADD is the ease of drawing 2D objects.. which you can import to DW to extrude. I think they should be polygons (you can attach lines in PowerCADD before exporting). Also you will find more color and fill, hatch capabilities than you can find in other drafting software. I editted textures for DW in PowerCADD and Graphic Convertor because I don't have Photoshop.

Also as you get into it, don't forget WildTools. It really doubles the power of PowerCADD. You might also be interested in "Color Portfolio" libraries for PowerCADD as you do a lot of rendering.

I haven't forgotten about you and I appreciated the chance to talk to you about my questions. Just busy. bye

Peter
