Message - Can't select footsteps in CS

I can't select (therefor nor move or rotate) footsteps in Caracter Studio (biped version 3.0). I've tried everything (I think): to create single/multiple footsteps (when I create multiple the newly created ones appear to be selected but I can't move them - I can't even right-click in the views). The deactivate footsteps button is inactive... What's wrong? Do I need a patch?
