Can I get the area of 3Dfaces directly from AutoCAD? Or do I have to convert them to 3D Polys first? How do I handle curved (radiused) areas?

I'm using software that draws 3D objects (ducting) using surfaces, need to get the surface area to compute the weight, (based on the guage) of the duct or fitting.

Routines are in lisp.

Thanks,
Al
