Hello Jaime,
Thank you for contacting Artifice Support.
Are you able to open the sample models that are included with DesignWorkshop Lite in the Examples folder?
If not you may check if your computer meets the requirements for DesignWorkshop. 16 MB of RAM is the minimum, though we highly recommend at least 32 MB. A Pentium processor is strongly suggested. You need to be running Windows 95, 98, or NT 4.0. If all this seems OK you might want to try reinstalling DesignWorkshop Lite in case something went wrong during installation.
If you can open the example models included with DesignWorkshop Lite you should check that the file you are trying to open has the file extension of .3dmf, rather than .sit. If it is a .sit file you need to expand it with Aladdin Expander. If it is a .3dmf file and it still doesn't open please let us know which model you are having difficulty with and basic information about your computer. Send e-mail to support@artifice.com and we will help you out further.
I hope this has helped. If it hasn't please let us know.
Thanks,
Mike Wheeler
