i am using drawing files from lots of different cad operators and systems, release 14 and 2000, maybe some global parameters were changed in creating the drawings, specifically, die drawings, which i need to convert to closed polylines and then to regions to extract the mass properties.
your idea would surely work but it would take too much time to redraw all of the entities again, specially since i am dealing with very complex aluminium extrusion die drawings.
but if you can come up with another method i sure would appreciate the help.
