Hi,

I work for a lighting design firm in the Chicago area. I have been working with Lightscape for about 3 years to create architectural renderings to show clients our lighting design concepts. I am looking for an alternate 3d rendering program to create quicker results. Since Lightscape triangulates all the surfaces of a model when importing a CAD model, I end up having to practically recreate the whole model in Lightscape. If I don't recreate the surfaces, the model takes to long to render and the size of the file is very large. Can anyone recommend another program that can create the same effect but take less time or recommend a different solution? We are also looking for a program that would work the same way as a hand drawn rendering or modify pictures by adding lighting concepts. I would greatly appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Chris Lewis
