Actually, I guess I should be a little more specific. I seem to have gotten it to work with integers and reals. But it doesn't seem to work with strings. I tell the program to setq a variable to a getstring. Afterwards, I have a condition statement. For one of these conditions, I would like to execute in the event that the user just hits the enter key for the getstring.
