This solid command is available in CADKEY and should be available in most other ACIS based solid modelers, including ACAD and MDT.

Position a circular profile at one end o f the pipe path then use the sweep command , the circle and the path to create a solid core representation of the pipe.

The pipe can usually be easily opened at both ends with the shell command but to create a true hollow pipe, CADKEY provides a dedicated Pipe command. With this command there is no need to position the circular profile. The ID and OD are specified in the creation menu then you select the path.
