[NLC] New person will soon be on board!

Greetings NLC,

As many of you know, the FY09 budget cycle provided us with additional
resources.  City Council approved funding for an additional position to
support the next generation of refinement plans.  This position is
currently posted and will close on Friday, August 15th.  It is
anticipated that the person will be on board by late September or early
October.  Since they will be working closely with neighborhoods,
volunteers were solicited at the last NLC meeting to provide input into
the interview process and participate on the interview panel.

This new position will be charged with bringing the next generation of
neighborhood plans to life.  We expect them to work collaboratively and
create planning products that will assist in identifying neighborhood
needs and priorities which will lead to informed decision making.  That
being said, much of this project has not yet been defined as it needs to
consider input and collaboration from the neighborhoods and other
stakeholders.  We are grateful for additional personal and are excited
for this project to take shape.  

We are looking forward to introducing a new member of the team and
anticipate working with all of you in the next few months to begin this
process.
