The following message is posted on behalf of Alissa Hunter Hansen,
Greetings neighborhood leaders,
This email is to let you know about a minor change the Planning Division
is making in regards to mailing copies of land use application
decisions. The Planning Division has been mailing copies of the entire
decision document for all Type II (tentative and final partitions, site
reviews and subdivisions) and Type III (zone changes, planned unit
developments and conditional use permits) land use application decisions
to all interested parties on record. This effort takes considerable
time and resources and is rather inefficient in the way it delivers
information. During these uncertain economic times we are challenged
with identifying ways to improve efficiencies in all City operations.
Consistent with this effort (and City of Eugene sustainability goals) we
will begin sending only the notice of each decision (as opposed to the
full decision document) to all interested parties beginning in January.
This notice will include a web link that provides easy internet access
to the entire decision document. In addition, we will continue to
provide copies of the entire decision at the Permit and Information
Center or you may contact the assigned planner to have a full copy
mailed to you. Thanks for your support in our efforts to use City
resources efficiently while maintaing a high level of customer service.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thanks.
