[NLC] Committee Opportunity: Parks Concert Series

Preparations are now underway for the 2008 City of Eugene Parks
Concerts.  A small committee of city staff and residents will meet on
Thursday, March 6 at 2:30pm to select performers for the series, and
we'd like to invite a representative from one of Eugene's Neighborhood
Associations to participate in that process. No preparation or
experience is required.  Committee members will participate in a blind
listening of brief audio samples by approximately 25-35 performers.  The
committee members rank each performer, and select the top candidates
through a group discussion.  If you or anyone involved with your
Neighborhood Association would like to apply to serve on the artist
selection committee, here are the steps:

1.  Send your name, address, e-mail and phone contacts by Thursday,
February 28 at 5:00pm to:

2.  On February 29, one name will be drawn at random from volunteering
neighborhood members
3.  On or before Monday, March 3, all volunteering members will be
notified of the "winning" member who will represent them in the artist
selection process.
