Dear Community Member,

The Eugene Community is creating a climate and energy action plan to help
decrease carbon emissions and prepare for climate change and rising fossil
fuel costs . This community-wide effort is being coordinated by the City of
Eugene with the assistance of many community partners.

We need YOUR help to find out what businesses, community organizations,
government agencies and individuals like you are already doing to prepare
for climate change and rising energy costs.

The link below will take you to a survey designed to develop an inventory of
actions already underway in our community and to start a dialogue that will
go from now until August of 2010 when the Community Climate and Energy
Action Plan will be created and beyond.

Please fill out the survey within one week. To access the survey, click on
the following link:

http://tinyurl.com/eugeneclimate

The survey will only take *5 minutes* to complete.

Please mark your calendar for the *Climate and Energy Action Plan kick-off
events on Saturday, September 26* from 9:00am to 5:00pm at North Eugene High
School. The kickoff consists of two events, the first starts at 9:00am and
the second at 2:00pm.

Visit http://www.sustaineugene.com/eugeneclimate/ for more details.

Thank you for taking the time to be a part of this community effort. Your
input is very helpful to this process. If you have any questions, please
contact Matt McRae, Eugene Climate and Energy Action Coordinator at
matt.a.mcrae at ci.eugene.or.us.

Please forward the survey to anyone you feel would be interested in
participating.

Thank you,

Matt McRae
