[NLC] Update on Building Height & Parking Provisions in the University Area

Dear neighborhood leaders,

The City Council will hold a public hearing at its September 21, 2009, 7:30 PM meeting to consider whether to readopt the building height and parking provisions in the University Area that were the subject of LUBA's remand for the Minor Code Amendment Project (MiCAP).  At the hearing, the Council will accept new evidence and will allow testimony from anyone wishing to provide it.  Written testimony may be submitted prior to the hearing by e-mailing to alissa.h.hansen at ci.eugene.or.us<mailto:alissa.h.hansen at ci.eugene.or.us> or by mail to Alissa Hansen, Eugene Planning Division, 99 W. 10th Ave, Eugene, OR  97401.  To get such materials into the Council's packet for the hearing, it must be received by 5:00PM on September 11.

The Council will be given two separate ordinances for its consideration, one would reinstate the height standards and the other would reinstate the parking standards.  The hearing will pertain to both.  Council action, should it choose to act, has been scheduled for the Council's October 12, 2009, 7:30PM meeting.  Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers.
