[NLC] Neighborhood Volunteer Recognition Awards [ACTION REQUESTED]

Dear neighborhood leaders,

Neighborhood Services is excited to announce the launching of the We-gene! Awards program.  We-gene! Awards have been created to recognize the good work of neighborhood volunteers and others that contribute to the livability of our neighborhoods.  The process is simple-active neighborhood associations can select one eligible individual, organization or project for recognition and nominate one neighborhood association for Neighborhood of the Year.  All individual/organization/project nominations will receive an award and a staff/neighborhood committee will select one winner from the Neighborhood of the Year nominations.  The attached document provides more detailed information and serves as the application.  It can also be found on our webpage at: http://www.eugene-or.gov/neighborhoods .  Note that nominations opened February 1 and will close on March 12 so don't delay.  We will hold an award event to coincide with National Volunteer Week in April.  Take a few minutes to complete an application and help us recognize the best of neighborhood spirit!
