Dear friends in Lane County,

I want to call your attention to two events related to Measure 37.

First, Senator Floyd Prozanski will be holding a town hall:

    Saturday, May 12, 10 am
   Hilyard Community Center
    2580 Hilyard St., Eugene

This would be a good time to ask him about Measure 37, what to do about existing claims, and the likely referral of HB 3540 to the voters this fall.

Second, LandWatch Lane County will be holding their annual meeting:

    Thursday, May 17, 6:45 - 9:00 pm
   Eugene Public Library, Bascom/Tykeson Room
    100 West 10th Ave., Eugene

The annual meeting will feature a panel discussion:

    Oregon in the Grip of Measure 37
   Facts, Fiction -- and Can the Measure Be Fixed?
   * Tom Bowerman, board member, 1000 Friends of Oregon
    * Lauri Segel, community planner, Goal One Coalition
    * Bryce Ward, economist, ECONOrthwest
    * Sen. Floyd Prozanski, co-chair, Joint Special Committee on Land Use Fairness
