Since downtown Eugene is for everyone, some of you may be interested in this series of independent downtown planning events organized by CPA, and co-sponsored by Friends of Eugene and others.

DOWNTOWN TOGETHER!
You are invited to Help Plan Our Downtown in a series of four events that are citizen driven. Speak up, network, plan and present your ideas in this new approach to revitalizing downtown
Citizens for Public Accountability in association with the City of Eugene, Davis’, the Eugene Weekly, Friends of Eugene, HELIOS, the Horsehead, Jameson, the KIVA, and Sundance invites you to participate in a citizen initiated process for the revitalization of Eugene's Downtown.
Event I: You Tell Us! - A Public Forum
Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at 7 PM Fenario Gallery, 881 Willamette
· First, speak up publicly about your ideas for downtown for 3 to 5 minutes and hear the thoughts of others. Then network with others who share your interests and form working groups to advance your ideas, business proposals and goals. Join us after the event for a Downtown Re-Birthday with live music and refreshments
Event II: Making Downtown Work
Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at 7 PM WOW Hall 291 West 8th at Lincoln
· Experts in various fields will help provide a "tool kit" for creating a downtown revival. Facilitated by Mayor Kitty Piercy; Working groups formed at the previous April 1 event report on their progress, followed by an additional opportunity to network and refreshments.
EVENT III: The Project Fair!
Saturday, April 26, 2008, 12-5 PM, Tango Center 194 W. Broadway
· Mix planning, politics and fun at this exciting all-day happening. Booths will display the projects developed by groups formed in the previous meetings, and from others in the community. Stroll about or participate in scheduled tours and presentations. Entertainment, food and celebrity appearances.
Event IV: Putting It All Together
Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at 7 PM WOW Hall 291 West 8th at Lincoln
· Help put these projects on the map! Identify potential opportunities and projects for Downtown Eugene as suggested priorities for action and investment by the City government. Conclusions and plans arrived at this evening will be presented to the City Council with a request for serious consideration in future revitalization planning for Downtown. Join us afterward for the first annual Downtown Actualization Party!
