Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Just a quick reminder that this Sunday afternoon is our Southeast Neighbors annual picnic!
Sunday, September 12, 2010
4:30-7pm
Tugman Park
37th and Hilyard
(at the edge of the trees, on the grass, back from the street,
just behind the big sand playground area.)
It's a totally informal drop-in potluck supper. Meet some neighbors, and maybe share some local perspectives, questions, answers, or poetic viewpoints - any and all are welcome.
We'll provide lots of chairs, and a few tables for food and for any pamphlets for local groups and issues anyone wants to share. Some of our local electeds may drop by to chat, too, though their schedules tend to be heavily compressed during this campaign season.
We'll put up our big neighborhood map - a good point of orientation and conversation starter. And we'll have available some copies of the collective statements on ideas for Envision Eugene, made up of the participants' exact words as expressed at our June meeting. But that's just for informal conversation, entirely and completely optional and non-organized. This is a picnic, after all!
:-)
See you there,
Kevin
