All -
The Eugene Climate and Energy Action Planning process is well underway and the next public meeting will focus on Transportation and Land Use issues. Since we all increased our level of expertise in this area through our work on the WEC, I'm sure we'd all have something to contribute to this important component of a community vision for Eugene.
See below for more details and thanks in advance for your consideration of this opportunity to forward our work together in a somewhat different but very relevant forum.
Sincerely,
Emily Proudfoot

The Eugene City Council has asked for a Community Climate and Energy Action Plan. A key aim of the plan will be to reduce total, current, community-wide, fossil fuel consumption by 50 percent by 2030. We are working with many community partners, and we need your input and support!
You are invited to participate in a Land Use and Transportation public forum on December 1st from 6p.m. to 9 p.m. at the EWEB main office in Eugene. Our question: "As we look at climate change and rising fuel prices, what are the most important actions for our community to take as they relate to Land Use and Transportation?" Issues include:
* Greenhouse Gas Emissions
* Fossil Fuel Use
* Preparing for a changing climate
* Adapting to the rising cost of fuel

If you know you will be attending, please send an email confirmation to Matt McRae<mailto:matt.a.mcrae at ci.eugene.or.us?subject=Confirmation:%20Food%20and%20Agriculture%20forum>
Please share this invitation with others who could be interested in participating in this discussion. For more information about the Community Climate and Energy Action Plan, please visit the project website at: www.sustaineugene.com/eugeneclimate<http://www.sustaineugene.com/eugeneclimate>
