Greetings WEC Members,
Many thanks to Kevin and the subcommittee for writing this letter to the
city council. We have had a number of "Thumbs-ups" or "green cards" for the
letter (20101130-01). I suggest that we leave the comment line open until
COB tomorrow, then have the final formal copy available for signatures at
the Mayor's office beginning Friday, December 3rd.
Kevin has offered to create a formal copy and deliver it to the Mayor's
office. If this is done in a timely way, there may be a possibility to
deliver this letter to the city council on or before the next council
meeting on December 13th. Kitty, do you think it would be possible to get
this on the council's agenda for that day?
The other item discussed at Monday's meeting was the need for WEC members to
meet with individual council members and spread this message. Jan said he
would be able to meet with his council member, but I was wondering if this
group would like to take a more coordinated approach to this and whether or
not a meeting needs to be scheduled before this letter goes to the council.
Thanks again for everyone's timely and hard work! I look forward to hearing
from you.
Warmly,
Tim
