Dear WEC friends,
As of Saturday night, Mary, Gary, Jim, Jan and Aleta have signed up to contact city councilors. At least one WEC member has signed up to contact each city councilor (aside from Chris). But only Jan has signed up to contact George Brown, Betty Taylor or Alan Zelenka. You can view -- or add to -- the sign up online:

Aside from Doodle-ing nights and weekends, there isn't much I can do.

If this is done in a timely way, there may be a possibility to deliver this letter to the city council on or before the next council meeting on December 13th. Kitty, do you think it would be possible to get this on the council's agenda for that day?
Has the letter, in fact, been delivered? Are we wanting to have a copy that people can sign, or merely list names of WEC members you gave their consent? I think the letter should get to City Hall by mid-week in order to get to city councilors in time for their last week of meetings this year.
And if people want to meet with city councilors, that too should occur this week.
Please talk amongst yourselves,
Rob Z

Dear WEC friends,
Following up on suggestions from Tim and Mary (see below), I have created a Doodle poll to help coordinate who wants to contact which city councilor:

I have not done this kind of poll before. But I believe you simple add your name and then check off one (or more) city councilors you are willing to contact. Everyone can see the results and who still needs to be contacted. And if more than one person signs up for a particular city councilor, you can talk amongst yourselves.
For those who are technologically challenged, the options are:
George Brown (Ward 1)
Betty Taylor (Ward 2)
Alan Zelenka (Ward 3)
George Poling (Ward 4)
Mike Clark (Ward 5)
Jennifer Solomon (Ward 6)
Pat Farr (Ward 6 elect)
Andrea Ortiz (Ward 7)
Chris Pryor (Ward 8 - member of WEC)
I'd suggest giving everyone through the weekend -- Sunday, December 5 -- to sign up. Then starting on Monday people signed up for the same city councilor can talk amongst themselves to discuss their approach, when and where.
Thanks,
Rob Z

Jan said he would be able to meet with his council member, but I was wondering if this group would like to take a more coordinated approach to this and whether or not a meeting needs to be scheduled before this letter goes to the council.
