Rob,
If it won't be too disruptive, I'd like to try and make at least the
last hour of the conversation. See you around 9:30 Thursday unless I
hear otherwise.
Rusty

Subject: [WEC] DECISION: Thu 10/14 8:30 a.m. to discuss EmX / larger
vision
Importance: High
Dear WEC friends ... and LTD staff,
As it appears to be the least worst time to meet, I hereby call the
meeting for:
Thursday, October 14, 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.
McNutt Room, Eugene City Hall
Rick, Pat, Rob Inerfeld, Mary O'Brien, Chris, John Allcott, Ed, Jan,
Ric, Gerry, Gary, Deborah, Larry (for the first hour only), Kitty, me,
Tom and other LTD staff -- a good group of 16 or more -- can all make
this time.
Unfortunately, this time does NOT work for Don, Sue, Rusty, or Jack. But
I trust there will be other opportunities to participate in
conversations about west Eugene.
Finally, as this meeting is being called at Kitty's request, I expect
she will welcome us and frame the discussion. Unless there is a desire
for me to play a special role, I am happy to just be one of many voices
in the room.
Thanks,
Rob Z
P.S. As he has expressed an interest in getting the WEC to look at EmX
in west Eugene, I wonder if it would make sense to invite City Manager
Jon Ruiz to join us, if he is available, and/or Assistant City Manager
Sarah Medary. At Jon's invitation, the two of them met in August with
Rusty, Gary and me from the WEC; LTD staff; and Dave Hauser and Jared
Mason-Gere from the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce to talk about EmX
and the possibility of involving the WEC in some manner.
