Subject: Joint West Eugene EmX Corridor Committee and the EmX Steering Committee
 
Exciting News! We have all been awaiting the release of the Alternatives Analysis (AA) Report for the West Eugene EmX (WEE) Project. At LTD’s request, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has agreed to allow LTD to release the AA Report in order to have an important community conversation about the project. FTA will continue to review the document and their comments will be incorporated at a later date.
 
Some comments have been provided by FTA and LTD is busy incorporating them into the document. We are pushing to have the document available for review this Thursday, October 28. THE GOOD NEWS is that we will be able to roll up our sleeves, review the data and together begin the discussions leading up to the selection of a Locally Preferred Alternative.
 
I will email you a link to the document for review, (including a summary document, and appendixes) on Wednesday, October 26. The report materials will be distributed widely on Thursday.

At your request, we can provide you with an electronic disk of the report, report summary document, and report appendixes.  If you, as a member of the Corridor Committee or Steering Committee, absolutely need a hard copy of the 500 page report, LTD will provide one to you. We encourage you to consider using the electronic version out of sensitivity for the environment and cost. LTD will however, be printing several hundred copies of the report summary document and distributing it widely.
 
General members of the community can request a hard copy or electronic disk of the full document at their cost (currently estimated at approximately $100.00 hard copy/$10.00 disk).
