[WEC-All] Preparatory material for the Wednesday and Thursday West Eugene Collaborative meetings

Greetings!

 

This is a quick follow-up with some information about read-ahead material
for next week's West Eugene Collaborative meeting that will focus on the LTD
study.

 

In the attachment to this email Rob Zako and the LUT committee have
condensed some of the information from the LTD website about the study.
Thanks to them for working to help focus WEC discussions.  Tom Schwetz will
augment this document with material he will bring to the meeting.  And
additonal information from LTD is available on their website:

Mary O'Brien is gathering input from the Environmental committee and plans
to send a document to the full WEC about their views of the purpose and need
statement and the alternatives under consideration, probably on Monday.

 

Finally, we would like to direct your attention to an AASHTO handbook that
Paul Thompson has recommended.  The link is

additional background about the NEPA requirements for defining purpose and
need and determining the range of alternatives for projects with Federal
funding.    We  hope you find it a good overview document.
