Sorry. Long ago, I meant to add the email addresses from the last set of
public forums  to the WEC_ALL list, but your request got buried under other
³to dos.²

In any case, I just added all the email address you sent me, i.e., from the

After returning from Michigan, I am still catching up on old emails.

I didn¹t see a response to Deborah¹s message below. Is that tacit approval
for her proposed adjustments to the public outreach effort?

In any case, I am willing to help with public outreach, as appropriate, and
would like to have a clear sense of what needs to be done far enough in
advance to be able to plan my/our time.

Hi Emily,
 
Thank you for your preparation work for the outreach meeting last evening.
Jan, Tim, Rob I. and I  had a good discussion with a few neighborhood
leaders. Four out of the ten or so confirmed participants showed up.
An important point is that all the West neighborhood representatives were
invited with emails, calls, etc. and know that we want to engage them in the
WEC process. Jan has been speaking with Alan Buck, rep from Churchill Area
Neighbors, about becoming a member of the WEC.
 
As a result of this low turn out, I am rethinking the outreach schedule and
would like to propose that we schedule only one set of meetings (Eugene and
Veneta)  for a late Oct. or early Nov. finale. The WEC should be far enough
along at that time to discuss recommendations with the public.
 
I  think two rounds of publicity with news articles, emails, notices, ads
etc. is too much effort for the likely return of limited public
participation. Also, we probably would not get as much free news coverage
for the second round.
 
Have you scheduled the Library and Veneta venues for  9/23 and 9/25?  If so,
let's just pencil them in for now until we can discuss the issue next week
by phone or at our next AC meeting.
