[WEC-Coord] Managing media/public expectations of the WEC

Dear WEC Coordinating Committee (and other members of the  
Communications Committee),

As I was waking up this morning, I was thinking that Ed Russo will  
probably be contacting me soon and wanting to know how the WEC is  
doing. I imagined that, like any good reporter, he would want to get  
the scoop on the WEC recommendations, and report on these as soon as  
he could. But I think we want to choose the time and nature of how we  
announce our recommendations, and not let Ed or anyone else scoop us  
before we are ready.

In any case, sure enough, I received the following message from Ed.

I will put Ed off for now, and refer him to Jan and Gary later.

But at the Coordinating Committee meeting this Wednesday, we should  
discuss communications with the media and public, and how we want to  
handle same.
