While I will be in Salem that day I will try to get the rest of my comments
out on the draft ahead of that. Good luck!

Subject: [WEC-Coord] proposed agenda for our conference call on 1/21 2pm

Hi Coordinating Committee,

Rob has sent around a proposed workplan for wrapping up the draft report
this week which includes getting a "near final" draft to all of you in time
for our conference call on Wednesday at 2pm. My understanding of the purpose
of this week's call is to get the Coordinating Committee's feedback on the
direction of the revised draft, work through any issues related to the draft
that could guide the conversation of the full WEC on 1/29, develop review
guidance for the full WEC to accompany the draft, develop an agenda for the
full WEC meeting, and check-in regarding media contact. I propose the
following agenda for our call:

I. Status of draft (Rob and revision committee)

II. Round Table feedback from CC regarding the direction of draft

III. Develop questions/guidance for the full WEC review to accompany the
draft

IV. Develop draft agenda for WEC meeting

V. Media - Anything to discuss regarding the media prior to full WEC
meeting?

For your consideration in developing the agenda for the full WEC meeting, I
suggest we do a red/green/yellow/card temperature check at the beginning of
the full WEC meeting to quickly see where the group is at and help us
allocate time for the discussion. For example, a green card indicates
support for the draft with positive comments to share (1 - 2 minutes each);
a yellow card indicates some support for the draft with minor suggestions
for changes and/or clarifying questions to ask,(5 - 10 minutes each); a red
card means no support for the draft with major suggestions for changes
and/or discussion needed to address concerns (15 -25 minutes each). My
intent with this suggestion is to help us allocate realistic timeframes and
focus the discussion on issues the group needs to work through while
allowing some time for positive comments to strenghten areas of agreement.

Other full WEC agenda items include discussing the steps to finalize the
report including the WEC's role/next meeting, and the report roll out. Seems
like the WEC should put in place a committee for this and spend full WEC
time giving some general direction to the committee including timeframe.
Issues such as how the report is circulated(political/agency, media,
public);other formats (pamphlet, CD, You Tube...); feedback loop with report
circulation (how comments are received - blog? wiki? My Space page....)could
all be addressed as part of a roll out plan that could be presented to the
WEC at a subsequent meeting.

Looking forward to our conversation on Wednesday! All the best,

Jamie
