While not comprehensive, here are a few more issues (food for thought) for
the good of the order and discussion today.
1. Preserve and restore natural ecosystem function and services in West
Eugene from a whole watershed perspective with an emphasis on biodiversity.
There should be no significant additional loss of natural areas.
2. We need a plan for West Eugene that allows the area evolve into a
pedestrian friendly, livable, beautiful area for visitors, business and
residence alike.
3. The global climate crisis is real, our climate is changing measurably
during the span of any reasonable planning period. We need to set strong
planning targets for reduction of greenhouse.
4. Recognizing that technology might resolve vehicular emissions, there is
still the issue of the impact of many vehicles and accommodating those
vehicles with infrastructure that impact issues 1 and 2 above.

Hi, all,
Attached is my "homework": A list of 5 critical issues that I believe the
larger Collaboration will need to deal with.
Will be phoning in (541/682-3023) for the 9 a.m. Environment Task Force

I'm at 435/259-6025 if you have any questions.
