Dear WEC/Environment Task Force,
At our August 29 meeting, we attempted to hone down the number of environmental issues we would be bringing to the larger West Eugene Collaborative in general and in our Environment 101. I indicated I would take a crack at reducing the five issues we listed (i.e., habitats, water flow, toxics runoff, global warming, and land use plans/environment) to the major issues, questions, and tasks we need to undertake to provide understandable, useful environmental information and maps for the larger WEC.
Please READ THE ATTTACHMENT AND SIGN UP FOR ONE OR MORE TASKS. Ultimately, in order to move forward, we need to take INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY for gathering particular information into readable summaries and maps. It can't be done in our task force meeetings.
On the attachment, tasks that have been signed up for are in blue; TASKS NEEDING INDIVIDUAL TASK FORCE MEMBER SIGN-UP ARE IN YELLOW
ASAP: PLEASE LET ME AND SUSAN BAN KNOW WHICH TASK(S) YOU ARE SIGNING UP FOR
Our next WEC Environment Task Force meeting
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2007
9 A.M.
Meet at: LCOG
Phone-in: 541/682-3023
Please bring whatever progress you have made on your task to the Sept. 19 meeting, so the Task Force can help you with whatever you are needing help on.
Thanks!
Mary O’Brien
P.S. If you feel I/we have missed essential tasks, you can sign up for those and bring the information to the Task Force, as well, of course.
Also, the human/environment interplay questions we have discussed will, it seems, best be addressed AFTER we have some of the basic facts/information outlined in the attachment. Obviously, they will not ultimately be ignored.
