Subject: [WEC-Env] Public/Private distinction between stormwater rules

Hi, Env. Task Force,

The issue has come up in our Task Force that somehow toxic runoff rules are
different for public and private developments.

I spoke with Therese Walch of the City, to get info on stormwater runoff
rules --- and asked her about any distinctions between the rules for private
and public roads, developments, etc. She couldn't think of any differences,
and so I said I would contact you all to see what examples you might have.

DO YOU HAVE ANY EXAMPLES OF DIFFERENT STORMWATER RUNOFF RULES FOR PRIVATE
AND PUBLIC STREETS, DEVELOPMENTS ETC?

Therese is sending me links to:

1. The City ordinance on storm runoff (quantity and quality regs) ---
passed by Council June 2006 2. The 2003-2004 Stormwater Basin Plan for the
Amazon Basin (which is the basin in which West Eugene resides) 3. The 2006
Annual Stormwater Report of the City to DEQ, which includes a map of where
the monitoring points are.

I'll try to review these before our meeting

Wednesday October 3
9 a.m.
LCOG

(I have to leave at 9:55 a.m., so if we can start on time, that will be
great.)

I'll get minutes out from our last meeting by Saturday to you...

M
