1. what finishing touches or accessories would you add to :a) a modern kitchen, with white unit /appliances;
gray granite worktops ; stainless steel sink, etc. ; black studded rubber
flooring?b) a traditional bathroom which has an Edwardian suite in champagne color & gold plated fittings ; marble effect vinyl floor ; wooden (pine) plantation window shutters?
c) A Scandinavian style dining room, with teak storage units & dining table ; metal framed chairs & Hessian wall covering in beige ; white venetian blinds; stripped wooden floorboards?
d) A country style sitting room with conservatory leading off through double French doors, furnished with a mixture of modern timeless sofas (two) covered in a floral fabric to match the curtains ; 2 or 3 antique chairs upholstered in coordinating plain colors ; mahogany bureau book case & penbroke table ; wicker theatrical hamper used as a coffee table ; built-in bookshelf ; pale yellow emulsion painted walls ; gold/beige seagrass matting floor covering?
2. Briefly summarize alterations/styles you would make/ use now. Explain any change of decision .
3. suppose friends, or clients have asked you to help redesign their home. Their tastes and lifestyle are different from your own. Outline the steps you would take from the first meeting to adding the finishing touches applying all you have learned on the course
