I know this is a bit late for some but the main trick ith Artlantis(well 3.02) lighting effects escpecially when the main light source is to be natural (sun cast through windows etc)is,

That you need to put additional sun sources around you model escpecially for interior shots. It sounds weird but if you have trouble with lighting the ceiling try sticking a sun source directly under your building, Yeah.... thats it adjust shadow settings to suit.
The same if certain walls apear to be darker than they should,..just stick an aditional sun behind the wall.

I have recently used this technique on a project with a ceiling raft with 56 spots and the sun shining beautifuly through the window.

Give it a go should save going into Photoshop at all but I know its tempting to use.

Although I could do with some help in creating a wash effect as if from a hidden fluorescent tube,.... any ideas?

Take it easy
Rob...
