From a series of design development images I rendered for a project for Pacificorp in Salt Lake City, this image shows the use of Design Workshop and Radiance to explore various design solutions. Unfortunately, design flaws were found (in some of the other images that rendered) and a redesign of certain elements were required. These renderings were never taking to the final stage due to time and budget constrants.
The importance of 3D visualization early in the design process cannot be stressed enough. While it is good that we finally explored the design at the time we did, an earlier exploration would've yielded better efficiency in the design process.
