Well... Form follows function (I think that's the old saying).
My knowledge of 3D rendering/construction is ziltch/nada/zero. So keep that in mind when reading my responce. If this is a space command center, you should think in 3D.
Your use of the square room does not... maximize your use of space.
Current payload technology would favour the circular work/room environment.
Might I suggest looking to "nature" for examples on form? Try thinking about a sea shell, the type that grows in a spiral fashion.
Gravity (in space) may be generated through spin (well that's what seems to be the popular method I guess). Spinning a flat room is... not so good.I don't know if your initial design is part of a pet project or some scholastic endeavour. But I think High marks would go into the "non-linear" approach to your construction.
Also, just like here on earth, realestate is costly. Every square foot of a space station is $$$. Your initial design has alot of open area. Your doorway to the comand station (with the two seats) should be cicular as well. Your air lock is circular, you should make all doors circular.
It's comming along nicely I believe. I know I can't design from scratch yet. I just lack that artistic gene or something. ;)
