Andrea, my suspicion is that if you include some interior lights the windows may be a little less intense.
As an option, PLEASE try RenderCity, linked below. You will be amazed at the outcome although you will not get custom materials unless you join, only DW materials.
Lastly are you using ImageCells for landscaping? It is a very nice model!!
