I entered this image into a designing competition held at my nearby university. The challenge was to comstruct a retreat for one couple to live in on the weekends or during the summer near a fictional lake somewhere in New Jersey. They wanted a small modern house that escaped the Victorian buildings near where they lived. This house, I believe, exemplifies this idea. Its large bay window faces out toward the lake, while the rear of the house faces the road. The small bathroom is located in the center of the retreat, while the kitchen area takes full advantage of the spectacular view.
