I tried the image thing with Artlantis on an interior rendering a couple of weeks ago with photos of people. I wish I would have read that article you posted first! I did't think to use intersecting blocks to give them a more "3d feel". The problem I had was beeing sure of what the final view would be so I could create the objects at the right angles- otherwise your left with very flat objects. It did work alright with a plant I stuck in a corner. I ended up inserting the people in Photoshop and making their shadows. When I get a chance I plan on experimenting more with Artlantis, especially where reflections on windows are concerned. And here we are back to inserting backgrounds in Artlantis rather than Photoshop!
