Gary,

Thanks for the kind words! The 30 renderings were of individual home models. Single point views of three different elevations for each of six different models (18). And the balance were two-point views of one of the elevations to give a more complete understanding of eac model's design (12).

There will be a web publishing of all of them soon. That is being created presently. The web site will also include some virtual tours created from similar, existing interiors. I'll let you know when it's posted.

As you assumed, the landscaping objects are all ImageCEL's. I started to try and provide blocks in DW to map the images on in Artlantis. I would need a little more time and pre-planning to pull that off. So...I retreated back to just sticking them in during the 'finishing' stages using PP8 (PicturePublisher8 / similar to Photoshop). It gives me the best freedom to just 'play':) I will probably do the next one with a combination of preplaced and then post-placed landscaping objects. I think that will help to blend colors, contrasting, and shadowing while still giving the freedom for last minute changes.

Here's an idea that worked great! I knew that I was going to have to place landscaping objects in back of the fence and sign. Soooo...I rendered an additional image out of Artlantis of only those objects. That allowed me to just slide the landscaping objects (and their shadows) between the main rendering and the fense/sign rendering layers. I noticed the 'alpha mask' works properly in 4.0. You had to 'invert' that mask when it was created in 3.5. With 4.0, you can simply import the item and it goes in perfectly masked.

The Entrance Rendering was created with seven individual DW models. I never joined the six DW house models with the DW street/fence model in DW; rather, all of them were joined in Artlantis. That worked great! Loaded the street/fence file in Artlantis 4.0, chose materials/shaders; loaded home model one file, chose materials/shaders; loaded home model two file, chose materials/shaders...etc. It was a great way to manage memory and working focus effectively. Remember, you still have to quickly take each DW generated DXF through Artlantis 3.5 (if you have it) and save it as an Artlantis file to allow individual objects to be properly recognized in 4.0 (Abvent says they are working on it).

I still have soooo much to learn:/ Like the army...'every job is an adventure'.

See ya,

Jeff
