By latest version, do I understand you to mean PowerCADD 2000 v5.012?? If You have PowerCADD 2000 but not version 5.012, go to engsw.com - downloads and get the 5.012 update.
First i would recommend that you reboot your computer to be under OS 9.2.2.
2) Bump up your Preferred RAM setting to PowerCADD to as much as you can spare out of the 512MB. (ie 491,520mb).
3) Ensure that no other programs are running.
4) Launch PowerCADD and try to open this errant drawing.
5) Once the "thermometer" fills fully, immediately type Apple - period to stop the redraw.(If it doesn't fiull the thermometer it is "toast" and if you really need it call engsw. If it fills the thermometer, but crashes before you type Apple-perior, you have type Apple-period too slowly)
6) Zoom in drastically to the top left corner of the drawing where there is no objects.
7) Make all layers invisible except one.
8) Do a Save.
9) Ensure your status window is visible.
10) Hold the Option key while clicking on the pointer tool.
11) Select None and click OK
12) Select all. (Apple-A)
13) If there is any object count in the Status window, press the Delete key. (These objects are non-valid objects.) If there is a zero count go to step 14.
14) Do a Save.
15) Make the next layer visible and this one invisible.
16) Repeat steps 9) through 15) until you have completed for each layer.
17) After all this done, run Clean Up Drawing to rid all stuff Off Page and Duplicates. If you have any questions, during this process, spend your nickel and call Mike at engsw.
Whenever PowerCADD gives a warning on opening a drawing about small objects or objects Off Page, click OK.
Hope this helps.
Feel free to ask any questions.
