That's the difference between a commercial site and a free one !
I suppose it has to be expected ?While one part of the world try to share it's knowledge and help, just for the sake of it, other parts seeks profit and legal "ownership"...
Happily, Nicéphore Niepce in a generous frenzy "gave" freely photography to the world... Less happily, Dr Land kept the instant processing techniques devised from WWII researches for his own company... And sued Kodak !
While I feel that there is no such thing as a free dinner, and that the work and knowledge of people such as software designers should be protected, I do think also that there is a limit to paying information.
At what point all what is said in this forum and on "free" sites as the Bullpen does or doesn't "trigger" some paying information on other sites... That I don't know!
The only true owners being Bill and Alfred, I rely upon them for "stamping" the sites they could counsel.
It's the last day for the Johannesburg meeting...
And the poor of this world won't have internet tomorrow morning... Maybe we should "sell" them water..?Argh! This world is really splitting apart!
